Pups!

We adopted Bella and Duke in January 2010 from the Canyon County Animal Shelter. Duke is almost 9 months and Bella is 1 year 10 months. They are great pups and we are really enjoying them! We started dog trainig last week and while we've had our ups and downs, we have all learned a lot. We are getting excited to be able to take them camping and boating (watch for the next post regarding the new boat!).

Halloween!

The theme for our friend's Halloween party this year was "Super Heros"...so Mike and I decided to go as Superman/Clark Kent and Superwoman/Journalist. Here are pics of our costumes!

Barber to Boise 2009

Mike and I both survived the Barber to Boise 5k Race on Saturday, October 17th, 2009. My goal was to run the entire time and not pass out ;-) and Mike's goal was to finish in under 30 minutes. We both achieved our goals, so we went out and bought ourselves new running shoes! Which we desparately needed, as Mike has a huge blister from wearing the shoes he has had since running cross country in High School and my knees and back hurt from my old worn shoes.
We have decided to keep on running races and improving, so we are trying to form a team or two for the Turkey Trot (4x2 mile relay) on November 21st, 2009. Mike's idea was to get a girls team and guys team and compete for a prize (drinks, dinner, etc.). We'll see how many friends we can get to run with us!

Carter's 1st Birthday

We went to Carter's 1st Birthday party on 10/10/09. It was lots of fun! I can't believe he is already 1 and looks like a little boy, not a baby anymore. The funniest part of the evening was him trying to eat his birthday cupcake like a hamburger, picking it up with 2 hands. ;-) Big sis Kenna was a cutie as usual and lots of help, especially when it came to present time!

Women's Fitness

Last weekend Grandma Miles came up from California to walk in the Women's fitness with Darcy, Kenna, Carter and I. We had a great time at the Celebration and hanging out with Grandma for the weekend!

Carter was wiped out and this was before the walk even started. :-)
